I didn’t take a traditional route into Formula 1.
I started in a job I hated, moved into engineering through an apprenticeship, built hands-on experience at a supplier, and then applied directly to F1 teams. When I did, I passed phone interviews and was invited to in-person interviews at multiple world-championship-winning teams — without a university degree.
This guide exists to break the stigma around getting into F1 and to show that there are multiple legitimate routes in, if you understand how the process actually works.
